Why we built it
Nurse pay is hard to pin down. It varies by role, specialty, city, shift, and employer, and most “salary” sites mix real data with guesswork without telling you which is which. SalaryNurse takes the opposite approach: we start from verified public wage data, model the gaps transparently, and label every number so you always know how much weight to give it.
How we handle data
National figures come from official public wage data. State, city, and specialty figures that aren’t directly published are shown as clearly labeled estimates. Pay shared by nurses is reviewed and only ever published in aggregate. We explain all of this, in plain language, on our methodology page.
